Description

Fire at Sea shows the effects that the arrival of war-fleeing immigrants has on the Italian inhabitants of Lampedusa. Told through the eyes of a 12-year old boy who lives on the island and a doctor who treats the refugees, Fire at Sea was nominated for the Best Documentary Oscar and received the Berlin International Film Festival’s highest honour, the Golden Bear.
