In February 2022, Pulitzer Prize-winner journalist Mstyslav Chernov was trapped in the Ukrainian city of Mariupol as Russian forces closed in. Drawing on Chernov’s daily news dispatches and personal footage, the focus of this intense and, at times, disturbing film is on the bravery of Mariupol’s citizens in the face of the atrocities committed by Russian forces.
