Belleville Downtown DocFestā€™s popular Gala is all about music! DocFest believes in downtown Belleville! Weā€™re selling Gala Rush Passes in advance! Why not come downtown to watch the award-winning documentary Carlos, about 10-time Grammy Award winner Carlos Santana! Followed by a live concert featuring Mexican-born Javier Vazquez and his 6-piece band, bringing a rocking Latino and Canadian fusion sound. Dare you not to dance.Catch the Green Carpet interviews with visiting and local filmmakers, and special guests liveĀ streamed from the Empire lobby to theĀ theatre.

Gala Rush Passes include Green Carpet Interviews at 6p.m., the Feature Film and Concert starting at 7p.m. at The Empire Theatre on Friday, February 23. Mr. Dressup: The Magic of Make-Believe
A celebration of the life and career of Ernie Coombs better known to his many fans as Mr. Dressup. For 29 years on the CBC Coombs, along with Casey, Finnegan and the Tickle Trunk, entertained and enriched five generations of Canadian children. The film includes archival footage, interviews with show staff, and reflections from family and fans on the impact Mr. Dressup had on millions of young Canadians.
