Quebec filmmakers and recent parents Mélanie Carrier and Olivier Higgins ponder how to explain life to their two young children. Their answer is to immerse themselves in the day-to-day world of Émile and Béatrice.

For nearly four years, the camera follows the children as they explore the world around them. The result is a touching look at life literally from a child’s point of view and the lessons it holds for adults.
