Description

Last year, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of change to federal law to decriminalize homosexuality, a national charity produced a documentary on the history of LGBTQI2S rights in Canada. Thoroughly researched, and well presented, it speaks to the intersectionality of religion, race, ethnicity, indigenous identity, as well as the medicalization, media-representation, and policing of the community. It’s a critical and authoritative work that deserves to be widely seen.
