10:00 AM – Friday, February 21, 2025 – John Parrot Art Gallery
Three groups of First Nations youth from the Atikamekw, Eeyou Cree and Innu nations share their perspectives on the future. Director Kim O’Bomsawin follows the youth over six years as they move from childhood into early adulthood and allows them to speak for themselves without interference or guidance. The result is a fascinating, firsthand account of the dreams of Indigenous youth.
“…we witness these young people finding their way with dignity, resilience and humour, and with help from one another…”, T’Cha Dunlevy, The Montreal Gazette
“…refreshingly chill slice-of-life portrait that lets young people share their perspectives through their own terms…”, Pat Mullen, POV Magazine
